Our technique goes beyond just removing excess fat, what we perform is minimally invasive modern three dimensional body sculpture!

Dr. Lacerna is Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and surgeon trainer for RENUVION and trains surgeons from all over the world in our center on these advanced facial and body surgical techniques.

During your consultation

During the consult, we begin with a thorough full body analysis with our SHAPE Scale, which scans the body to document areas of excess fat pockets, in addition to obtaining body circumference measurements and body mass index (BMI). Next, during the pre-operative process, the areas of excess fat are marked for removal during surgery. Areas of fat deficiency or areas where more volume is desired (such as face, breasts, buttocks, hips in women, chest, shoulders and buttocks for men) are identified for fat transfer. Any areas of cellulite can also be addressed with our AVELI cellulite removal system. We also perform a comprehensive health history and blood panel analysis to see if our patient can also benefit from our weight loss and hormone replacement therapy wellness programs. Our patients start their pre-operative healing vitamins with arnica and bromolein to improve their post-operative recovery.

During your surgery

During surgery, we perform our proprietary 3D Body Sculpture and this is where our artistry and extensive surgical experience excels!

Once adequate anesthesia is provided, we begin with VASER Ultrasound to emulsify the fat, followed by fat aspiration with power assisted liposuction. Additional etching is performed to highlight one’s own musculature, and produce VASER HI-DEF SIX PACK ABS. Some of the fat can be saved for fat transfer later in the procedure. Once reduction contouring is done, we treat all areas with RENUVION subdermal skin tightening. Traditional liposuction alone can cause contour irregularities and extra skin loosening, so VASER and RENUVION are crucial to our amazing results!

Next, cellulite is permanently removed with AVELI as needed, followed by our PRP enhanced fat transfer procedure in areas where we want extra volume enhancement. This is performed 360 degrees or circumferentially on the abdomen, flanks, arms and thighs, for full body 3D contouring!

Post surgery

Finally, our in house award-wining lymphatic massage therapist Maya Hime performs our exclusive post-operative protocol combining lymphatic massages, healing oils, lymphatic hydrotherapy (Vichy shower), LED lights and Endoluxx massages at LA SKIN SPA.

Best Candidates for Liposuction

The best candidates for liposuction in Sarasota and Bradenton are normal-weight people with firm, elastic skin who have pockets of excess fat in certain areas. You should be physically healthy, psychologically stable and realistic in your expectations. Liposuction carries greater risk for individuals with medical problems such as diabetes, significant heart or lung disease, and poor blood circulation, or smokers.

This is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. Although this is not a substitute for dieting and exercise, liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that do not respond to traditional weight-loss methods.
